The locking technology used means that a shaft groove can be dispensed with and shafts with a smaller diameter can be selected in the design.
Our nuts have axial run-out accuracies of less than 0.005 mm!
How they work:
Dorfmüller STM-R locknuts have axially symmetrically arranged locking screws that draw the nut body together. On the one hand that realizes the locking effect, on the other hand a correct tightening of the screws leads to an almost
backlash-free running of the nut on the shaft thread.
