Our locknuts KMTA are the right choice when the highest demands are placed on threads and axial run-out tolerances!
The locking technology used means that a shaft groove can be dispensed with and shafts with a smaller diameter can be selected in the design.
Our nuts have axial run-out accuracies of less than 0.005 mm!
Functionality:
KMTA locknuts have three locking elements offset by 120°.
These each consist of a brass pin through which the thread profile of the shaft is cut,
which is pressed onto the shaft thread with a grub screw and thus secures the nut against unintentional loosening.
The locking elements sit at an angle of 60° in the nut body and can be used in addition to the pure nut locking
to compensate for the smallest axial run-out inaccuracies occurring within the tolerance limits between shaft and nut
Note:
- For applications where high speeds and low-vibration running are required, we recommend our locknut STM-R
